Find Out More

What is NAD?

Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD) is a coenzyme found in every cell. It plays a vital role in energy production, DNA repair, and cellular maintenance. NAD exists in two forms: NAD+ and NADH.

Energy Production

NAD+ converts to NADH in the mitochondria. NADH then donates electrons to the electron transport chain, producing ATP — body’s main energy source.
DNA Repair

NAD+ fuels PARP enzymes, which detect and repair DNA damage, preserving cellular function.
Cell Regeneration

NAD+ activates proteins called sirtuins that regulate metabolism, promote mitochondrial regeneration, and support healthy aging.
Oxidative Stress

NAD+ helps regulate redox balance and supports enzymes that protect cells from oxidative damage.

Why Is NAD Testing Important?

  • NAD levels decline with age, chronic stress, poor diet, and lack of sleep
  • Testing enables targeted supplementation using NMN, NR, or other NAD-boosting supplements
  • Tracking NAD helps assess energy metabolism, resilience, and repair capacity

NAD testing offers insights for supplement brands, clinics, and wellness providers seeking personalized, measurable health optimization.

Applications

  • Clinical & Research Use
Remote sample collection with DBS simplifies NAD data collection in population studies and clinics.
  • Supplement Validation
Test and prove the efficacy of NAD-boosting products such as NR, NMN, niacin, and other related compounds.
  • Client Retention
Testing empowers customers to see progress, stay committed, and elevate their trust in your brand or clinic.

FAQ

We provide dried blood spot (DBS) collection kits for easy at-home sampling. Individuals collect a small blood sample using our step-by-step instructions, then return it to our certified medical laboratory. Within 5–7 business days from lab receipt, we deliver a results report including insights, reference values, and interpretation guidance.

Yes. Our testing method is validated for specificity, stability, and correlation with venous blood.

The test is safe for children, but NAD reference values are not yet fully established for younger age groups. The test can be performed on children, but results should be interpreted with caution.

Yes. We offer white-label options, branded reports, and API access for seamless integration with your platform.
