LifeLab1 has conducted an extensive NAD population study to analyze NAD levels across different age groups in the Lithuanian population, including both males and females. This study is carried out in collaboration with partners from Vilnius University Life Sciences Center, RDA Spot, and Bioanalizes Sistemos. Initiated in 2023, the research is ongoing, and we are proud to mention that it is one of the largest dried blood spot (DBS) studies and one of the most extensive human NAD studies conducted to date.
NAD levels from dried blood spot samples were analyzed at LifeLab1’s laboratory using an enzymatic cycling assay to ensure precise measurements.
This NAD population study enables us to examine the intricate relationship between age, sex, and NAD levels providing valuable insights into age-related NAD decline, gender differences in NAD levels, and metabolic variations across different age groups. These findings contribute to a deeper understanding of NAD’s role in aging and health.
